ANALYSIS AND STUDIES ABOUT THE WAR AGAINST BOSNIA

The War in Bosnia - part nine

                         The Bosnian Congress

As the reaction to the open treason of the Bosnian state, a group of
Bosnians in the United States formed an organization which was named "The
Bosnian Congress." It all started when Dr. Vahid Sendijarevic and Stjepan
Balog, dedicated activists and humanitarians from the "Bosnian Relief
Committee," men who sent many containers of humanitarian help to Bosnia
and had published dozens of articles and appeals asking for protection for
Bosnia, in one particular exchange of correspondence with President
Izetbeg ovic became convinced that Izetbegovic is actually the one who
initiated the partitioning of BH. Especially successful activist was
Stjepan Balog. Both before and since "The Bosnian Congress" was
organized, Balog had published dozens of letters in the New York Times,
Washington Post and other newspapers of similar stature and importance. A
large number of his articles were published in "Zajdnicar," the largest
Croatian paper outside of Croatia. From one of Balog's appeal, the
following exchange with Izetbegovic, which convinced Balog and
Sendijarevic that with Izetbegovic at the "helm," Bosnia had no chance of
    survival.

Balog's and Sendijarevic's Correspondence with Izetbegovic

In the open letter to Izetbegovic, after his signing of the "Union" plan,
among other things, Mr. Stjepan Balog states:

"...However, if your goal is the division of Bosnia, then I hope you have
considered all the possible consequences of that action. Do you want to
be remembered as Bosnia's first and last president, as its undertaker?
After many centuries of the existence of Bosnia and its people, after over
200,000 Bosnians killed in this war, after millions driven from their
homes, raped, and tortured, now you will tell them: all that was for
nothing. When you start signing the end of Bosnia, remember that in
addition to the news reporters and the TV cameras, there will also be the
hundreds of thousands souls of the slaughtered Bosnians who even in their
    death will loose their homeland.

If the sufferings of the Bosnian people are such that they can't go on any
longer, if the Bosnian army has exhausted and is defeated to the point
where it can't fight any longer, it is no shame to be defeated by the
enemy who many times larger and better equipped and who is also supported
by the so called "civilized" West.

    84

But you have no right to give Bosnia away at the negotiating table. Your
objective must be the preservation of Bosnia, not to bury it. If you have
no more strength to watch the suffering of the Bosnian people, then step
aside and others fight to preserve Bosnia. As a Croat, I am not proud of
the role that Croatia has played in the destruction of Bosnia. But if you
sign the agreement to divide Bosnia, you will not be any better than those
Croats who betrayed not only Bosnia but their own people. You will be no
better than those Serbs who are doing all they can to see the end of you
    and the Bosnian people.

Dear Mr. Izetbegovic, Bosnia doesn't belong only to the Muslims but to the
Bosnians of all religions who are willing to fight and defend it from its
enemies. Those who love Bosnia would not divide it but would die
    defending it.

    Respectfully,

    Stjepan Balog
    Warren, Michigan, USA "

The following is Izetbegovic's reply in its entirety.

    "Dear Mr. Balog

Thank you for your letter of November 11, 1993.

I did not accept the fate of Bosnia as being inevitable, but I am not sure
if that is of any importance. Tolstoj wrote a 1,000 pages of one of his
great novels just so he could prove (or at least try to) that people do
not control history. Very often, just the opposite of what people want or
strive for happens. What is happening in Bosnia is just our fate and
    destiny.

Two premises decided the future of Bosnia: The first, there is no Bosnia
without the Serbs and Croats, and the second: Serbs and Croats do not want
a united Bosnia. You can draw you own conclusions.

I am sure you will agree with the first premise but not with the second,
otherwise, why would you have written to me.

The Serbs didn't surprise me, the Croats did. I will never understand
    their politics and motives.

    85

The entire time they (the Croats) worked towards their own ruin, and I
could have never predicted such a thing. A murder can sometimes be
prevented, a suicide usually can not. The Croats have attempted the later
    and have succeeded.

What is left now is for you to explain to me in a future correspondence
(if you wish) how can Bosnia stay undivided without the Serbs and the
Croats. I don't have that ability.

I suppose you will answer with mentioning several exceptions, and I will
answer that exceptions do not make states, but that people make them, no
matter how respectable, actually they can be just plain people.

If I don't sign some sort of peace agreement, it very likely that Bosnia
would be totally occupied. There are those who think that even occupation
is better than signatures, and as an example they cite the Baltic states,
which even after 50 years of occupation were resurrected as independent
states (because there was no signing of a peace agreement, capitulation).

But comparing the Baltic states to Bosnia is totally unreasonable. The
Baltic states were occupied for fifty years, but their people survived.
My people wouldn't survive not 50 years, not even 50 days. We (the
Bosnian people) would be completely elimin ated, along with our Mosques
and all other traces of our existence. That is why the Baltic example
    doesn't apply to Bosnia.

    Unfortunately, those are the facts.

That doesn't mean that there is no hope for a unified Bosnia at this time.
At the moment, that would be just a utopian dream, but sometimes even
    these utopian dreams come true.

Thank you for your love of Bosnia.

    Respectfully,

Alija Izetbegovic, Sarajevo, December 6, 1993"

The same day Stjepan Balog sends his reply to Alija Izetbegovic. A part
    of his letter:

" One of the reasons I am writing to you asking to preserve Bosnia as a
unified state is the fact that a unified Bosnia would be a guarantor of a
unified Croatia and buffer between its worse enemy. In your letter you
    ask:

    86

"...How can Bosnia be preserved as unified without the Serbs and the
Croats..." My question is, what are the alternatives to a unified Bosnia
and are there other alternatives but a fight for survival and freedom?
Who can guarantee you that regardless w hat agreement is signed, it will
be implemented or that the Bosnian people will be saved. In the case of
Bosnia, for the international community, the changing of the borders is
acceptable even if it was accomplished by force and involved the use of
Genoc ide and ethnic cleansing. Do you expect the same international
community to protect the borders of a little Islamic state in the middle
of Europe? Just as the promises made by the international community were
broken in Croatia, they would be broken in B osnia. Remember the American
Indians. After every battle that the Indians lost, a peace was signed
which lasted only until the whites needed more land. Then another battle,
another "peace" and loss of land, than another battle and peace and the
loss of land, until the Indians have lost everything. For the love of
Bosnia and for the future of Croatia, do not make the job of your enemies
any easier. Your signature will only give legitimacy to the ethnic
cleansing and genocide committed against the Muslims, but it will not
stop it. Does anyone still remembers the Muslims from Belgrade, Sabac and
other Serbian cities in which the Muslims were a majority at one time?

We know that you have been trying to establish contacts with Croatia. You
should know that there are many Croats who see the hope for Croatia in the
saving and preservation of Bosnia. You are not alone in this war. Those
of us who love Croatia are convinced that Croatia will not be liberated
from the Serbs without a military fight with Bosnia as its ally.

Although the establishing of closer ties with Croatia looks impossible
now, your persistence and the persistence of the Bosnian people in the
struggle for a unified Bosnia will force the Croatian government that
without a unified, sovereign Bosnia, within its internationally recognized
borders, there will be no totally liberated Croatia within its
    internationally recognized borders.

I ask you not to go to the negotiating table ready to divide Bosnia. By
even agreeing to negotiate on Bosnia's borders, you will eliminate all
those Croats and Serbs who want to live in the unified Bosnia homeland.

    87

When the Afghanistan chased the Russians, when a Somalian General, who
controls only a part of a city succeeded in stopping the American forces,
when the Palestinians, after 40 years, are succeeding in the creation of a
homeland, why is it then that Bosnians couldn't win the fight against
    their aggressors.

    Respectfully,

    Stjepan Balog"

In a letter to Alija Izetbegovic, Dr. Vahid Sendijarevic (among other
    things) states:

"....I will agree with you that majority of the Serbs and Croats were
manipulated by their own leaders, but what Mr. Balog doesn't know is that
you haven't done anything to convince the Bosnian Serbs and Croats to
fight for the independent Bosnia. You are also doing everything you can
to eliminate even those Muslims who are fighting for an independent,
multi-religious sovereign state. Mr. Balog didn't follow your election
campaign in which you call for the unification of all the Muslim people of
Bosnia , not for the unification of all of the Bosnians. In your program
there is no place even for the more secular Muslims, so is it any wonder
that the Serbs and the Croats would not fight for "your" Bosnia."

From the above letters we can clearly see that the future members of the
"Bosnian Congress" were still convinced at that time that Alija
Izetbegovic can still be influenced and that his mind could still be
changed. However, they soon realized that Izetbegovic already knew
everything they were telling him, he just didn't care, he (Izetbegovic)
    wanted Bosnia divided.

That is why and how the accusation against Izetbegovic by the Bosnian
Congress was created. It's effect was phenomenal. Many Bosnjaks were
familiar with the signers of the "accusation" and knew that they were
honorable men with no ulterior motives nor were they traitors. The
"accusation" had such an effect on Izetbegovic that even the Serbian news
agency SRNA went to his defense. In the "accusation" Izetbegovic was
criticized for negotiating Bosnia's division with the Serbs. However, the
Serbian propaganda machine reported exactly the opposite.

    88

The signers of the "accusation" (and the members of the Bosnian Congress)
were praised by the Serbian media as Muslim intellectuals who are
criticizing Izetbegovic for NOT negotiating with the Serbs. According to
the Serbian SRNA news agency, " the reasonable and smart Bosnian
intellectuals are criticizing the extremist Izetbegovic." Knowing that
Bosnians will oppose anyone who is praised by the Serbs and like anyone
who is attacked by them. With its "support" of the Bosnian Congress, the
Serbian SRN A agency actually was supporting and helping Izetbegovic.
Such wholehearted Serbian support of Izetbegovic is the best proof that he
is helping them to accomplish the Serbian project of a divided Bosnia.

Below is the "accusation" text in its entirety:

"THE ACCUSATION BY THE BOSNIAN CONGRESS"

                      The Bosnian Congress
                         United States

                           May 4, 1994

TO ALL THE CITIZENS OF BOSNIA-HERZEGOVINA, IN THE HOMELAND AND ABROAD

The Bosnian Congress, an organization made up of Bosnian emigrants and of
friends of the Bosnian people who fight for integral Bosniua-Herzegovina
as it was recognised by the UN, feels compelled and duty bound to initiate
    the following:

ACCUSATION AGAINST ALIJA IZETBEGOVIC FOR TREASON COMMITTED AGAINST THE
    PEOPLE OF BOSNIA-HERZEGOVINA.

    1) The Bosnian people are forced to live in an information blockade since
the war started, in implementation of which are involved all of the
Sarajevo's media, which in turn is controlled by Izetbegovic. The Bosnian
people are denied access to the information about the goals and the status
of negotiations which are conducted between Izetbegovic and the Serbian
and the Croatian controlled portions of BH. Alija Izetbegovic has very
smartly gained the trust of the Bosnian people, which is completely cut
off from the outside world and is fooling them in to thinking that he is
really not dividing Bosnia but only deceiving Bosnia's enemies. Actually,
the only ones who are really fooled are the Bosnian people and the state
of BH. Also fooled are those Serbs and Croats who are still fighting on
the side of the Bosnian government in to thinking that they are
sacrificing their lives for a unified, multiethnic state of BH.

    89

It is this unified, secular state of BH that the majority of the Bosnians
have voted for during the referendum on Bosnia's independence. The goals
of Alija Izetbegovic completely coincide with the goals of those who want
to divide Bosnia and create the "Greater Serbia" and the "Greater Croatia."

    2) Isn't it ironic that it is the Serbian leader Karadzic who is the
biggest supporter of creating a Muslim state within Bosnia and of the so
called Federation of Croats and Muslims and the co-Federation of this new
entity with the state of Croatia. With the creation of the Muslim - Croat
Federation, Izetbegovic has in fact guaranteed the creation and existence
of the Serbian state within Bosnia. With the recognition of the Serbian
and Croatian entities, Izetbegovic has also brought in to question the
existence of the internationally recognized state of BH and its
constitution. By creating the Muslim - Croat federation, Alija
Izetbegovic has acknowledged the aspirations of Bosnia's enemies, which
was to end the existence of BH and in its place to create several new
states. Isn't Alija Izetbegovic the one who in his presidential oath took
on the responsibility to defend the Constitution and the sovereignty of
entire BH. With the goal of creating the "Muslim" mini-state within the
confederation with Croatia, Alija Izetbegovic has brought in to question
the existence of Bosnia-Herzegovina and the existence of Bosnian people.

    3) Step by step, Alija Izetbegovic is realizing the division of BH by
converting the free areas of Bosnia in to "protected" zones and thus
denying the Bosnian Army and the Bosnian people to continue the struggle
and the fight to liberate and connect with other Bosnian territories. On
the majority of the battle lines, such agreements have been negotiated,
the last one being in the Brcko region. Based on the Brcko agreement of
May 3, 1994, the United Nations will now protect the Serbian corridor
between Belgrade and the city of Banja Luka. In all of the areas where
such agreements have been reached, the U.N. are serving as the buffer
between the warring sides and in some cases, it was the Bosnian Army that
was disarmed. During the war, the Bosnian Army was the only one that was
forced by the U.N. to permanently give up its weapons, in places such as
Zepa, Srebrenica and the newest example, Gorazde.

    4) Alija Izetbegovic knows very well that the U.N. forces have been
separating the Turkish and the Greek sides on Cyprus for over twenty
    years.

    90

Although the division of Cyprus has not been internationally recognized,
no one is even questioning the Turkish control over a large part the
Cyprus Republic. Izetbegovic's goal is to frieze the existing borders
until that time when the Bosnian people and the rest of the world will
accept the division of Bosnia-Herzegovina as the final and only solution
    to the Bosnian conflict.

    5) Alija Izetbegovic knows well that according to the informational laws
it is not possible to partition a country by force, but only by
negotiating. Because of that, his willingness to negotiate with the enemy
has given courage to the enemies of Bosnia. Let us remember how large a
portion of Bosnia controlled by the Bosnian Army was prior to the January
1993 and how much territory has fallen in to the enemy hands since then.
The start of negotiations in January of 1993 has returned the morale of
the Bosnia's enemies. It is with the start of these negotiation that they
realized that Izetbegovic will legalize them the occupied territories.

    6) By accepting Karadzic and Boban as representatives of the Bosnian
Serbs and Croats, he reinforced his enemies "truth" that what is going on
in Bosnia is not a war of aggression against a sovereign state but a civil
war. We must remember that the U.N. resolution 752, in the Summer of
1992, clearly stated that Serbia and Montenegro were the aggressors in the
Bosnian war and that Bosnia-Herzegovina was the victim of that aggression.
By agreeing to negotiate, that resolution practically dismissed by
Izetbegovic and the process of punishing the aggressor eventualy stopped.

    7) As the result of the division of Bosnia-Herzegovina, Alija Izetbegovic
has accomplished the following: there is no more talk of aggression on BH
and about the BH Army but about the civil war, Muslim Government, Muslim
    Army, and so on.

    8) Many other states were occupied in modern history, but none of them
ceased to exist. Some of the example were France during WWII and many
states occupied by the Soviet Union. Why is it that only in
Bosnia-Herzegovina the occupation is being accepted as a "done deal"?
Because any discussion on the borders and the constitution of state
translates in to a death blow for that state. There is never any
discussions about such things as the borders and the constitution of a
state, and the protection of t hese sacred points is sworn in during the
presidential inauguration. Alija Izetbegovic was duty bound to protect
those two sacred things, constitution and the borders of Bosnia.

    91

    9) It is not true that we must negotiate. No one can punish us for not
wanting to talk to the occupiers of our homeland. It is the right of
every victim to refuse to talk to its aggressors and executioners and to
demand their punishment. The victim c an not be turned in to the "bad
guy" just for refusing to negotiate with its assassins. By often
repeating the lie: "if we don't negotiate, we will be accused of
prolonging the war," Alija Izetbegovic has tried (and succeeded) in to
DECEIVE his people, and with the help of negotiations he is beginning to
realize his dream of a Muslim mini state on a part of what was
Bosnia-Herzegovina. The price of his betrayal is the loss of most of
Bosnia-Herzegovina and the creation of the Greater Serbia and the Greater
    Croatia.

    10) The Army of Bosnia-Herzegovina is responsible for protecting the
Bosnian constitution and the entire territory of Bosnia-Herzegovina, as
recognized in its internationally recognized borders. Because of that,
the BH army is not responsible to honor the negotiations made by
politicians that lead to the destruction of Bosnia's constitution and in
    to partitioning of the state.

    11) For the hundreds of thousands Bosnians killed in defence of our
homeland, for the dignity of Bosnia-Herzegovina and its future
generations, Alija Izetbegovic must be tried in front of all of the
Bosnian people for the crime of treason.

The fifth signer of the "accusation" against Izetbegovic could not stand
the barrage of Izetbegovic's propaganda and Izetbegovic's personal
emissary in America, Nedzib Sacirbey (the closest ally and personal friend
of Izetbegovic, also the father of Bosnia's U.N. representative, Muhamed
Sacirbey). He asked us to omit his name from the document in this book,
not because he changed his mind, but because "Bosnia is already divided
and any action reversing Izetbegovic's betrayal is too late".

    92

The two very close families of Izetbegovic and Sacirbey are the only two
protagonists of the Bosnian politics for which the Bosnian Congress is
sure that they know what exactly is happening to Bosnia-Herzegovina and
for whom they know that the goal of the ir political activities from the
very start of the conflict was the division of Bosnia-Herzegovina. It
wasn't that they were fulfilling the demands of the international
community, it was that this community was (more precisely; Owen,
Stoltenberg, the Con tact Group, etc...) was fulfilling their (Izetbegovic
and Sacirbey) ambitions and goals, true, the international community was
glad to do it. The vast majority of Bosnians dedicated to Izetbegovic
were manipulated by the very able (manipulators) Izetbego vic and
Sacirbey. The Bosnians, such as Besim Velic had placed themselves in to
the function persecuting the members of the Bosnian Congress. Besim Velic
is a lower level clerk from California, pro-Serbian orientated, who was
ordered by Izetbegovic to s tart a paper called "Bosnjak" that would
supposedly write against Izetbegovic. The plan was to put Velic at the
head of Izetbegovic's "opposition" in America. Izetbegovic has been doing
that often; he himself creates opposition to his government so he can then
control it. Izetbegovic's man, Velic had tried everything to discredit the
Bosnian Congress; from lying about in the Izetbegovic's Bosnian press to
making false accuzations against members of Bosnian Congress. But the
Bosnian Congress survived it all. We knew that "litlle" people blindly
follow the authority and "suck up" to the authorities, so we weren't too
surprised. The question remains; how could Izetbegovic and Sacirbey so
successfully manipulate the Bosnian people? One of the answers has
already been given; people tend to follow the authority and "suck up" to
them. However, there was something else that helped them to fool the
intellectuals also. Izetbegovic and Nadzib Sacirbey were imprisoned
together as "Young Muslims" after WWII. That gave these two the laurels of
the "victims of the Communist persecution" and insured for them the trust
of the Bosnian people. However, that title doesn't really guarantee that
they are dedicated Muslims and Bosnan patriots as they are being portra
yed. Here is why: Post WWII Serbian Communist didn't treat Muslims much
better then they are doing today. Just as the Serbs are killing all the
male Muslim that they can get their hands on, the Serbian controlled UDBA
(Yugoslav version of KGB) non selec tively captured all the young and
educated Bosnian Muslims from Bosnian noble families, regardless whether
they were dedicated to Islam or not. Then, in the prison, the UDBA agents
could recognize the true dedicated Muslims and Bosnians. Those Muslims
either were killed in jails or stayed for many years.

    93

All of the other "Young Muslims" were being recruited in to the UDBA
service. Many of them did not accept to work for UDBA, but some did. I am
particularity familiar with this facet of Muslim persecution because my
uncle, Ahmed Borogovac, a geometer from Zvornik was arrested as a "Young
Muslim". He was never involved in politics, which also proves that the
Serbs, parading as communists, were arresting not only dedicated Muslims.
The names of Avdo Sidran, Alija Karamehmedovic and Husref Basagic are well
known in Bosnian pre-war emigre circles. They are the men who agreed to
work for UDBA (Yugoslav secret police) just so they could get out of
prison, but afterwards, while risking their lives, they succeeded in
escaping from Yugoslavia. They would rather abandon their homeland than
dirty their hands working for the secret police. How many of them didn't
succeed escaping from Yugoslavia? How many of them did start working for
the secret police (UDBA)? Of course, we will not find them among the ones
who were killed in prisons or the ones who served more than 10 years, such
as Alija Becic, Hamzalija Hundur or Teufik Velagic. How come that some of
the Bosnian Muslims served as little as one or two years, while others
served 10 years and longer. Maybe it is just a coincidence, maybe not,
that Alija Izetbegovic and Nadzib Sacirbey had served only two years in
prison. For two Muslim "fundamentalists" to serve only two years is
highly suspicious. It would be important to remember that many years
later, Bos nian patriots, lead by Hamdija Pozderac have aging "arranged" a
    prison sentence for Izetbegovic.

It is very interesting to note that Izetbegovic's minister (Secretary) of
the Interior, Alija Delimustafic, who is described as a Yugoslav Secret
Police spy by both general Sefer Halilovic (the first commander of the
Bosnian Army) and by Dr. Nijaz Durakovic, (a member of the Presidency of
BH) is hiding from the public what happened with the archives on "Young
Muslims." Here is what Dr. Durakovic had to say about that in the Bosnia
newspaper "Ljiljan" on August 9, 1995. I quote:"...Muhamed Abadzic was
    the manager of the Oslobodjenje news paper, and on one occasion tells me;
the biggest mystery are the "Young Muslims". Who are they, what are their
goals and could you write book about them? He also told be that we are all
just children in this questionable game. He asked me if I would write the
book for a lot of money? "Of course" I said, knowing that the archive
about them and about all those unfortunate trials were being held by the
Secret Police (UDBA), whose chief at that time was a Dusko Zgonjanin. But
since they gave Dervis Susuc the job of writing those unfortunate
"PARERGON", (a book about Muslim polititians in Bosnia-Herzegovina during
W.W.II) which he did by using the "Archives" held by UDBA, I told him to
also let me have those "Archives" so I could write my part also. We
agreed, and I started to work on the project. However, suddenly and very
mysteriously, the entire project collapsed, mostly because the UDBA had
gotten involved, but most important those archives disappeared and the
Secret Police closed the project. But the biggest mystery was the
disappearance of the "Archives." Do they still exist anywhere? I don't
know. That question should be asked of Alija Delimustafic, because I
think that he "inherited" it." Was it destroyed during those critical
moments? I think that the "fingers" of KOS (the Yugoslav military secret
police, COUNTER INTELLIGENCE SERVICE) are in it, along with other secret
services, whose goal was the destruction of our homeland
    Bosnia-Herzegovina."

It is obvious that by hiding those "Archives," UDBA is protecting some of
its important people. When one considers the fact that the only ones to
hold important functions of the "Young Muslims" and those who also wield a
lot of power in Bosnia are Alija Izetbegovic and Nadzib Sacirbey, the
obvious question that comes to mind is: Is it possible that UDBA is
    protecting these two?

Soon after the "Accusation of Bosnian Congress" was published, the Bosnian
Congress started receiving words of encouragement from many Bosnian
citizens. On the other hand, the attacks from the Izetbegovic's camp also
started in "Ljiljan" and "Bosnjak" ne wspapers. Knowing that he couldn't
win any arguments with the Bosnian Congress, our answers to the attacks by
the Izetbegovic's media were never published in those papers. We were
publishing them on the "BOSNET" Internet service.

THE ACTIVITIES OF THE BOSNIAN CONGRESS

The Bosnian Congress is not fighting for a place in the Bosnian government
for any of its members. That is why we can concentrate on spreading the
truth about Bosnia without being accused of having ulterior motives. That
can be confirmed by all those in the Bosnian government and in the
opposition who had any contact with any of the members of the Bosnian
Congress, such as Alija Izetbegovic, Haris Silajdzic, Stjepan Kljujic, Dr.
Eljub Ganic, Dr. Nijaz Durakovic, Adil Zulfikarpasic, Dr.Rusmir
Mahmutcehajic, Selim Beslagic, Dr. Muhamed Filipovic, Dr. Zlatko
Lagumdzija, Kresimir Zubak, Sven Alkalaj, Nedzib Sacirbey, Ivica Misic,
Dr. Ismet Grbo, Dr. Semso Tankovic, Hilmo Neimarlija and so on. That
means that the Bosnian Congress is fighting for Bosnia and Hercegovina, by
writing, which is distributed mainly through Internet, but also by FAX and
mail. The Bosnian Congress has formed a mailing list of all the American
Congressional Representatives and several hundred newspapers both American
and Islamic and also other media. In that effort, a lot of help came from
Craig Hamilton from Boston, a friend of the Bosnian people and a
collaborator of the Bosnian Congress. One of his primary functions was to
proof read our English text and "Americanize" it. Here is a sample of one
such letter by the Bosnian Congress, published on many Internet
    conferences.

              "THE BOSNIAN CONGRESS"

    November 31, 1994

Greetings, fellow Bosnians: We have received your messages and inquiries
about the Bosnian Congress. We are a group of Bosnian refugees and also
Bosnians who left Bosnia before the aggression started. Among us there
are some wounded soldiers and College Professors and everything in
between. Our common ground is that we can't accept the division of
Bosnia-Herzegovina, we refuse to accept as a "fact" the current situation,
we refuse to think that "Bosnian will never be as we dreamed about"
because it wasn't a dream, we did have our Bosni-Herzegovina. (The outhor
of the letter quotes some Izetbegovic's statements.) The person who is
trying to convince us otherwise has fought against our homeland and our
culture even before his illegal assumption of power and his coalition with
our enemies. By promoting a new and divided Bosnia, composed of two
separate states, he was fighting against Bosnia-Herzegovina, and to him
unavoidable coalition with the "World", in reality only with two European
states, France and England and their McKenzies, Marillons, Owens and
others. He only had one goal in mind, to get them to help him, actually,
guarantee his experiment with a "Small Bosnia." At first we thought he
was smart for signing the rough draft for the division of
Bosnia-Herzegovina in Lisbon. After that we were too preoccupied with the
genocide being committed against the Bosnian people. We were naive enough
to think that there was some special and secret reason for him to
negotiate with those who were slaught ering the Bosnian people. We were
convinced there were some hidden truths when he was signing the
"Provinces," the "Unions," and the "Contact Group's" plan. For that
entire time we believed that there are negotiations about BH, instead of
seeking justic e and the punishment of the aggressors, because we were
convinced that there were some valid reasons that we are no familiar with,
and that our smart leader has some secret plan for Bosnia which he is just
hiding from our enemies. The Bosnian Congress is composed of people who
    sow with their own eyes the maps of the divided Bosnia in March of 1992;
    who were asked in front of the BH map to show "where is our Muslim land";
who worked in institutions of a private Izetbegovic's state, which was
located in Za greb, Croatia, where the fight wasn't against the Serbs but
against the legal institutions of Bosnia-Herzegovina. Some of us were
siting in prayers in our Mosques were we were being told that "It doesn't
matter how big is a state geographically, according to "them" the
important thing is that it is big in spirit. We read Izetbegovic's
speeches as if they were directives with which we are being asked to think
that we were only dreaming of our Bosnia, but that "his" Bosnia (the part
that Milosevic and Tud jman will let us keep) is the real Bosnia. The
worse of it is that as we started realizing the extent of the treason
being committed, a total news blockade was evolving Bosnia. The twice
completed projects of TV satellite relays were blocked by the president
Izetbegovic himself. Izetbegovic also ended the prosecution of the
Serbian collaborator, General McKanzie. We were wondering why did the
ultimatums against the Serbs turn in to discussions of "two warring
parties". Why were the Serbs given six more months to accept the fact
that Izetbegovic might get 30% of Bosnia and that way work contrary to the
U.S. Congress, which was ready to end the arms embargo against Bosnia. We
(the people of Bosnia) finally started realizing that the blockade of
Bosnian institution wasn't orchestrated in the West, or with the U.N.
general Rose, or the "American Devil", and that it is a lie by Izetbegovic
that: "We didn't want the division of Bosnia, they forced it on us."The
statements made by Warren Christopher to the U.S. Congress and by Owen to
the CNN that "all three sides want Bosnia divided" were true. The
blockade of Sarajevo and the death of Bosnia are the fault of the Bosnian
government, and the blockade will last until Bosnian people accept that
fact. Just so that it wouldn't become public knowledge on how did the
impossible become possible, a close cooperation was established between
England and France and Alija Izetbegovic. This way Izetbegovic doesn't
have to enter in to an open cooperation with Karadzic, as he did before
the war, when he and Karadzic divided Bosnian cities in to Muslim and
Serbian neighborhoods. But Karadzic and Boban entered in to an agreement
using the structures from the earlier system and they formed a Serbian and
Croatian National fronts. On the other hand, Izetbegovic isolated the
Muslim intellectuals, while using the Serbian savagery to destroy them and
the U.N. to completely disable Sarajevo's cultural, governmental and
learning institutions. After agreement with HVO Croats (who are Serbian
allies) to join the Bosnian Government instead of Kljujic (Croat who
wanted integral Bosnia), Izetbegovic takes on another mandate.
